On the morning of March 14, 2019, at the meeting room of Faculty of Biology, the leaders of the Faculty had a meeting with experts from Yamanashi University, Japan. Assoc.Prof. Nguyen Lan Hung Son - Dean of Faculty, Assoc.Prof. Tran Thi Thanh Huyen - Deputy Dean, Dr. Tran Khanh Van - Head of Department of Plant Physiology and Application, International cooperation Assistant, Dr. Tran Thi Thuy - Head of Department of Biotechnology - Microbiology discussed with Prof. Taku MISONOU and Dr. Fomichova Kseniya from Faculty of Environmental Sciences and Life, Yamanashi University, Japan on biology and environmental science education at universities of Vietnam in general and a case of Hanoi National University of Education.

On behalf of Faculty, Assoc.Prof. Nguyen Lan Hung Son introduced an overview of the Faculty: organizational structure, undergraduate and postgraduate training programs in the Faculty. We also exchanged a view on similarities and differences of biology education in Vietnam with other countries, i.e. national, cultural issues/ or gender issues in biology education and science education (attitudes of youth to biology and other sciences, recent trends, publication of research results in international educational science journals. Experiences in biology education between Japan, Russia and Vietnam were also exchanged during the meeting. Prof. MISONOU thanked for the hospitality of Faculty of Biology. This is the first time he has come to Vietnam. And we look forward to a further successful cooperation./.
