From April 26th to April 27th, 2019, the undergraduate Biology students of class K65 defended their thesis at Hanoi National University of Education. Students at this prestigious event covered 68 diverse research topics before a panel of experts from the field of Biology.
Because this is their debut into research, teachers gave positive and constructive feedback to students in each defense presentation. Similar to a graduate school defense, all students were asked questions to assess their depth of insight and to further develop their ideas for the future of each research topic.
The 2018-2019 school year is the second year in which a special “advanced English class” defended their thesis in fluent and scientifically accurate English. The function and hope of this class is that students will be equipped for a greater degree of international collaboration and prestige. This year, class 65K had 18 students presenting with this accreditation.
The thesis defense ceremony ended successfully, with 100% of students in class K65 receiving a grade of “excellent”. Two students deserve additional accolades for receiving a perfect score of 10. This thesis defense is a culmination of four years of very hard work on behalf of the students and the dedicated faculty who assisted them. It is a testimony to the outstanding training capacity of the Faculty of Biology, under the enthusiastic support of officials and leaders at Hanoi National University of Education. It is a perfect example of how mutual support of leaders and educators work together toward the best interests of the students at Hanoi National University of Education.
Although it seems like the journey of being a student at the Faculty of Biology is at an end; teachers, educators, and students are confident that their experiences here are like a birds wings which will launch them into many great opportunities in the future. These 68 students will carry the priceless knowledge they have attained into every future endeavor. We wish them every success!
