These days, learning English is an essential activity for everyone, especially students. Our class was very happy and excited to learn that Ms. Alyssa was organizing an English extra-curricular course for us. She has been very easy-going, and enthusiastic. The atmosphere in her class is very engaging; which motivates us to learn and speak out. In this class, we will aim to improve the four essential language skills: listening, reading, speaking, and writing. If we work hard in and outside of class, we will be confident when taking the B1 test. During our lessons, sometimes we miss what Ms. Alyssa is trying to say, which puts us at a disadvantage. However, we will all try to study hard and bravely communicate with Ms. Alyssa. It is a perfect opportunity to practice our speaking skills. (Ms. Alyssa also admits that because she is a native speaker, sometimes she forgets to speak slowly, so we all need to work together to understand and help each other.)
Fortunately, we have had a rewarding English class with a whole-hearted teacher, Alyssa. Every Wednesday, we will learn the skills needed to communicate in English, and prepare for the upcoming B1 exam. In her class, we feel delighted with her teaching methods. English class has become more fun due to her use of games and her sense of humor. We were especially impressed by the goals and the rules of the class. There are 3 class goals which are: thinking in English, empowerment and learn English for every day situations. Additionally, class rules are very interesting such as: this is a safe space, mistakes make us great, and YOGOWYPI. Although Alyssa is very busy, she always fixes our homework each week for us. For example, she helps us fix grammar mistakes while using a high-level vocabulary. This method helps makes us make progress every day. Regarding the B1 exam, she prepared a lesson plan to help us get used to the exam structure and pass it. She never fails to encourage us to communicate boldly during lessons, which really motivates students in their study habits. We would like to say “Thank you Alyssa, we will study hard to achieve good results”
