The first activity of the delegation at the Faculty of Biology was to attend the the Practice Teaching Biology Module class given by Dr. Nguyen Thi Hang Nga (Head of the Department of Theory and Teaching Methods of Biology). The class observation was lively, with many questions and communications between expert guests, lecturers and students of class K70C. The visiting professors were impressed with the class organized by Dr. Nguyen Thi Hang Nga and actively participated in any activities and interactions with students. Furthermore, students of class 70C also had the opportunity to talk with experts on related issues to how to approach Master and Doctor programs and to understand teacher training programs at Nara University of Education.

The Nara University of Education delegation had a session with the Faculty of Biology on June 6, 2023 to create a premise for exchange and cooperation activities. Attending the meeting, on the side of the Faculty of Biology, there were the presence of the Faculty Boards, Heads of Departments, Assistant for International Cooperation, Assistant for Scientific Research and Postgraduates and lecturers of the Department of Theory and Teaching Methods of Biology. Opening the working session, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Nguyen Lan Hung Son - Dean of the Faculty of Biology had the thankful speech to the professors for visiting and working at the Faculty of Biology as well as looking forward to having the specific exchanges for cooperation activities between the two sides during this time which to be more effective in the future. To help professors have more information about training activities and research directions on education aspect in the Faculty of Biology, Assoc.Prof. Phan Thi Thanh Hoi presented and introduced the Department of Theory and Teaching Methods of Biology, undergraduate and graduate training missions; some results of training and scientific research; research directions of the department have been carried out and wish to develop in the next period, especially in teacher training for sustainable development.

Then there was the presentation of Prof. Yoshimura on teacher training in Japan and Nara University of Education, including: a brief history of teacher training in Japan; the current teacher training system in Japan; The reform in the current teacher training system in Japan and some information about Nara University of Education. He also proposed the content that can be exchanged and cooperated with the Faculty of Biology in the field of education. The participants asked several questions, suggested directions and possible contents for cooperation in the near future between the two units. Assoc.Prof. Nguyen Lan Hung Son summarized the contents of the session and hoped for the cooperation in the near future, which can initially be done through online activities and the next step will be offline activities, such as exchange of lecturers, master and Ph.D. students.
